Interview: ‘My Way’ Documentary Rock Maven Rebekah Starr On Inspiration

Nothing says inspirational like a documentary featuring someone going after their dream.  But when that person is a hot and talented kick ass female rock star with laser focus the ante definitely gets upped.  Boldly dropping out of corporate life, grabbing a guitar and hitting the road to reach the famed Sunset Strip or bust, musician Rebekah Starr is the fetching focus of the ruckus and real new flick “My Way” that documents Starr’s willingness to risk it all – including her life and marriage – in search of a dream.  The event filled road trip flick follows the Pennsylvania native and her sexy Estonian side-kick Annika Alliksoo as they hit various bars and clubs across America playing sets, selling CD’s and getting into mild mischief all to facilitate making it to California to shoot a music video with fellow band members Holly Bacci and Temea Vendelin.  The film also features rock legends like Steven Adler of Guns n’ Roses and Rikki Rockett of Poison sharing their own similar tales of tirelessly chasing musical fortune and glory.  We were so stirred up, moved and utterly impressed by the unwavering passion of the film and the lead gal herself that we sought out rock star Rebekah Starr for some much desired one-on-one insight.  What follows is a fascinating Q&A with a gifted gal that delves much deeper into everything from song origins to happenings since the film ended.  We proudly salute those who make it happen, so here’s…
